About us

We are an Australian/French cafe, aiming to provide a great culinary experience for breakfast or lunch.

Our chef is French and puts all his knowledge and passion into every meal that goes out of the kitchen. Our friendly staff is committed to take care of each one of our clients and make them feel well.

Our products are fresh, sourced between the best from Australia and France, baked every day and cooked on order.


We source our coffee beans from Cleanskin in Brisbane, using their Saint blend.


French specialty : Baguette, Croissant and Chocolate croissant (Pain au chocolat) are baked every day by our French chef. Aussie breakfast takes an important place on our menu too : Banana Bread, Eggs & Bacon…


A la carte meals, Sandwiches, Salads, Desserts, everything made fresh on demand by our chef. We also are a fully licensed restaurant.


We are open the 2nd and 4th Friday night of the month for our French dinner.


Having a farewell party, birthday, wedding celebration and fancy some cakes or tasty bites ? Contact-us!


We can also open any night if you are more than 10 people!

Remi Baron, chef of Le Cafe Gourmand

About the chef

Rémi was born and bred in a small town in north-western France called Loublande. His love for cooking began from an early age learning to cook with his dad. He loved ‘helping’ his parents with gardening, and then transforming their fresh produce into delicious meals for the family.

Since that time, Remi has worked in prestigious restaurants in France and Australia, including positions as head chef. His love of good quality, fresh food is what inspired him to create Le Café Gourmand. Remi says that being able to concentrate on creating this type of food is a dream come true.
